HighLighter…The Movie

We are proud to be a Melbourne company. We love our city, and we are inspired by the tech and AI community and ecosystem that we are part of. We are chuffed to help companies both in Melbourne and around the world access AI.

Last year we were awarded a Business Expansion grant from The City of Melbourne, which we used to create videos showcasing HighLighter and the innovative work it is driving at two very different Victorian companies: Powercor and Macuject.

We are incredibly thankful to City of Melbourne for the grant. We have enjoyed working alongside the City of Melbourne and promoting the brilliant businesses in our city.

We would like to extend a huge thanks to Peter and Luke from Powercor and Devinder from Macuject for taking the time to talk about our work together. We would also like to thank our wonderful team for their involvement through the whole process.

AI for asset inspection and network mapping

Electricity distributors are required to inspect their infrastructure and assets regularly. This keeps people safe while keeping the lights on. Powercor saw an opportunity to supplement the manual inspection process with AI-powered inspections using photos captured by aircraft. While this project was in development, the immediate need arose to audit a particular component.

AI assisting doctors treating macular degeneration

For patients with macular degeneration, the eye needs to be scanned and analysed at every appointment. Macuject’s software combines AI and real-world expertise to help clinicians analyse the scans and take appropriate action. The Macuject team needed a machine learning model to underpin the software, and an easy-to-understand labelling platform for experts to annotate data remotely.

As exciting as it is to see our work in video… we also had a lot of fun filming with the Vidico crew.
