National Science Week and AI

We love National Science Week and are rather excited to be involved in a number of events this year. Consequently, we decided this wonderful festival of all things science deserved its own blog post.

As an Australia-wide celebration of science and technology, National Science Week is designed for all ages and abilities to interact with individuals and organisations contributing to our world of knowledge.

There are so many brilliant events around Australia. We highly recommend checking out the program and heading of on your own science adventure. In the meantime, we’ve listed below a number of events that we are lucky enough to be. involved in.

Organised by the Royal Society of Victoria, Extrasensory is the big one in terms of Science Week events in Melbourne.

Explore the future of human perception at Extrasensory. At this event combining performance, storytelling, and experimentation, make sense of the world of the senses, and find the limits to your own.

We’ll be there talking about AI and the Senses. You can also Play with foodpairing, tactile treasure maps, and next gen hearables to augment reality and extend your senses. Hear the last moments of the Mars Rover and your unique sound footprint, become a professional beer taster, and sit in an MP’s Chamber seat while listening to a NASA scientist preparing for Mars and learning about ‘pseudo-profound bulls**t (real scientific term!), hallucinations and synesthesia.
